Ever wonder what something is worth?  Antiques? Collectibles? Personal Property? Knowing the value can assist in determining amount of insurance coverage needed, how much you can claim as a charitable donation or just satisfy that need to know.

A complete and accurate description of item

A statement regarding the appraiser's financial position on appraised item

The appraiser's qualification

Know who is appraising your valuables.  A qualified appraiser should have formal education in appraisal theory, procedures and principles, ethics and law.  Just because someone has been a collector or in the business for many years does not necessarily make them a qualified appraiser.
