Thanks for taking time out to get to know us better. First,
we'd like to say we are not associated with any other estate sale company.
Here's some history on us.
We opened J&D Antiques & Collectibles on May 1, 1999 (exactly 10 years
after my father passed away). We had been collectors for many years. We always wanted our own business. We had been told
to be successful, make your hobby your business and voila...here we are!
We don't specialize in any one type of collectible, we like to know a little
bit about a lot of items. We have a wealth of avenues of expertise available to us. Such as appraisers, military experts,
glass experts, furniture experts, and many others.
Integrity Estate Sales was born after seeking guidance from the Lord. As antique
dealers for some reason people kept asking us if we did estate sales, our answer was "no". After answering "no" many times
we decided it was time to ask the Lord if this is what He wants us to do. Those of you who know me, know I'm a rather bold
person. My prayer to the Lord went something like this.....Okay Lord, if this is from You then YOU make it happen. I'm not
advertising, I'm not doing anything, YOU make the phone ring if this is what you want us to do! Four hours later I received
a call from a lady about doing an estate sale for her. Let me tell you I was humbled instantly. We knew for sure without
a doubt this is from the Lord. That was in June of 2004.
We are very excited to be doing estate sales. Over the years we have seen so
many families try to conduct an estate sale and we've seen items that we knew should have been sold for much more, go for
too little. One example is a cobalt and white milkglass pedestal cake plate, when I saw it I knew, as a dealer, I could easily
get $200 for it, the family sold it to another dealer for $8! The family probably thought they were saving money by not hiring
someone to do the sale.
Families running their own sale, thinking they are saving money is such a myth.
So many families think there is no good stuff in the home and they end up throwing away items when they clean that were actually
worth money. We are now in a position to make a difference and help.
We chose the name Integrity because that is what we believe is essential in
the estate sale business. Both my husband and I are in the Air Force Reserve, integrity is first in our core values there
and in our business too. If you haven't guessed by now we are a Christian based company.
